The area of Linda Vista (Spanish for “pretty view”) was given its name because of its beautiful perspective of San Diego. One of the major events found in the area is the Annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair. These festivities feature housing discussion panels as well as activities for families, including cultural arts, crafts, and children’s entertainment.

The University of San Diego is found in Linda Vista, as well as San Diego Mesa College, contributing to the education of the residents living there.
