Oceanside

At the northernmost part of the San Diego County coast you will find the sprawling city of Oceanside. Located next to the Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base, Oceanside was originally founded as part of the Mission San Luis Rey. It has since grown to encompass everything from oceanfront homes to horse property near the town of Bonsall.

What’s Cool About Oceanside

Oceanside is closely associated with the neighboring cities of Carlsbad to the south and Vista to the east, including the Tri-City neighborhood where the Tri-City Hospital is located. Highlights include the lovely Oceanside Marina, fishing and dining on the Oceanside Pier, the downtown area with its California Surf Museum, the San Luis Rey River bike path, and of course the richly historical Mission San Luis Rey. Though quite far from most of San Diego, this beach town has more than enough to offer in its own right.
