The small upscale community of Lower Hermosa is located on the coast of southern La Jolla. While the area itself is almost exclusively residential, the Village to the north and Pacific Beach to the south offer boundless shopping, dining and entertainment. The scenic Windansea Beach, great for surfing or sunbathing on the sandstone cliffs, is within walking distance.

What’s Cool About Lower Hermosa
Like Upper Hermosa to the east, Lower Hermosa is a residential community, and is only minutes away from the shopping and dining of Bird Rock’s Merchant District. The community is full of active people who love running, walking, cycling, and enjoying their time together with their families. The roughly 500 homes contained in this area are often expensive—unsurprising considering their gorgeous views, spacious floorplans and lavish architecture. 41 of them are oceanfront, many of which have private staircases that descend to the waves below.
