Most of the stories I tell you happened to me personally. However, every once in awhile, I hear a story that happened to a fellow real estate agent that I just have to share.
During the big housing crisis of 2007 to 2011, there were a lot of foreclosures. An agent I know went to a foreclosed house and knocked on the door. One of the unpleasant things agents had to do was to talk to people who had lost their homes and discuss their options.
Well, after she knocked on the door, a man answered it. He had a shotgun and he chased her down the street! She managed to calm him down and have a rational conversation with him. Toward the end of that conversation, he asked her out!
“He answered the door with his shotgun and chased her down the street!”
She said no, but that is a true story.
