“Where’s the best place to buy a home in San Diego to get the highest appreciation rate?”
People ask me this all the time.
Call me a boring theorist, but my answer is always this:
All other things being equal, all parts of San Diego should appreciate at about the same % rate over the long term.
If there’s some large development (e.g. a stadium, new shopping mall, etc.), then all other things would NOT be the same. So that area may appreciate at a higher — or lower — rate.
